Williton Walks

This month's walk will be on Saturday 18 May starting at 2pm from the beacon on the Memorial Ground. We will be walking to Sampford Brett, Woolston and Cottiford. From Cottiford we will walk to the edge of Bicknoller when we will return to Williton via Luckes Lane and the 'new footpath' to Highbridge. This walk is slightly longer than usual being approximately 4 miles instead of 3 - 3.5 miles.

Parish Plan

The next meeting to discuss the Parish Plan will be held on 10th April at 7pm in the Parish Office.

Pavilion Project

The Parish Council as Trustee of the Memorial Ground is seeking your views regarding a new pavilion on the Recreation Ground. Questionnaires are being delivered to all houses within the Parish. Please take the time to complete these as your views will help to decide on the future of this project. Link to more details

Charity Indian Meal

Last month saw over 30 people enjoying a meal at The Spice Merchant in Watchet. £175 was raised for the hall funds. We would like to thank Icqbal and Uddin who gave us the profits from the meal and for making this event possible.

Concert - “When you wish upon a Star”

A note for the diary - Quantock Musical Theatre Company are making their annual return to Danesfield School on Saturday 8 June. The concert this year will be based on Walt Disney films and  will include wonderful songs from the classics of Snow White and Dumbo through to Lion King and Tangled.

Williton Walks

This month's walk will be held on Saturday 6 April starting at 2pm from St Peter's Church. We will walk to Aller Farm and then onto Capton. From Capton we will cross the fields to Sampford Brett before returning to Williton via Sampford Mill. The walk will include one hill (up to Aller Farm) and the rest of the walk is generally flat or downhill. If you would like any further information please ring me on 632318.

There will be another public  meeting to look at the Parish Plan on Wednesday 13th February in the Council Chamber at 7pm. All welcome

Williton Walks

As the January walk was rained off we will attempt to do it on Saturday 16 March at 2pm. Please meet at Danesfield School. We will walk over Watchet Hill  to the harbour/marina. From there we will walk along the Mineral Line to Kentsford Farm, and then up to St Decuman's Well and the church before returning via Parsonage Farm back to Danesfield School.

Indian Meal

This is to be held on Monday 25 February at The Spice Merchant in Watchet starting at 7pm. The Spice Merchant has very kindly agreed to give the profit from the meal to Williton Community Hall. It is not a set menu as you chose what you want from the menu. If you would like to come please  let Joan Scott, Diane Hooper or Elizabeth Peeks know by 17 February as we need to let The Spice Merchant know how many are coming. Joan's telephone number is 632459, Diane's is 632497 and Elizabeth's, 632318. A £5 deposit will also be required to secure your place. We look forward to seeing you at the meal.
